First Week of School

Charlie Thorsen on August 15, 2010

School has begun!

With much preparation our teacher's part and much trepidation on the students part, classes began this past Monday at CCS!

Most students from last year have returned, and there are several new students, some who have not yet arrived.

We've begun the new school year with a new school director who is doing a great job! John Cook has taken the "helm" as David Fuller, school director for the last two years, has gone on Home Assignment.

The first day of school was a half day, with a parent assembly at night.

I spoke in the first high school chapel of the year, giving an overview of this year's school verse; Philippians 1:9-11 (NIV) 9 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ--to the glory and praise of God.

Our school theme is "Learning to Discern - the best!"

We're excited for what this year will hold and what God will do in us and through us as a school.

Please continue to pray for us as we teach, build relationships and serve at CCS.

Thank you for your partnership in this adventure!
